Ilham Aliyev in Paris
Yesterday evening, December 8, 2009, Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan, arrived in Paris for a two-days official visit.
APA - Azerbaijan Press Agency - mentioned that the President would meet Nicolas Sarkozy, Bernard Kouchner, and Presidents of French National Assembly and Senate.
Aliyev met French authorities, however, if we are not wrong, no press conference was hold. AFP, RFI and RSF were not given any information.
Obviously, Aliyev did not come to talk about Human Rights.
The President of Azerbaijan is in France primarily to sign oil agreements.
While in Paris, Aliyev did not say a single word about Adnan Hadjizadeh and Emin Milli, ironically enough, in Baku was announced the appeal for December 22.
Let it be reminded that Ilham Aliev never answered officially and personally to any question on Adnan Hadjizadeh and Emin Milli, videobloggers respectively sentenced to 2 years and 2,5 years imprisonment.
For this reason, we call on journalists to try meeting Aliyev and raise the issue of young activists Adnan and Emin.
